Michael C. Coan, DO, joined Arthritis Northwest PLLC in Spokane, Washington, in 2019. He aims to help his patients achieve better outcomes from their treatment for rheumatological conditions by combining his expertise and experience with new and innovative approaches. Dr. Coan’s particular areas of interest include autoimmune disorders such as lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as other arthritic diseases.
Dr. Coan grew up in Colorado and New Mexico. He trained as a doctor of osteopathic medicine, attending medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, then completed his training at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNT) in Fort Worth, Texas. From 2012 until he joined Arthritis Northwest PLLC, he practiced rheumatology in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Spokane. Dr. Coan is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). His patients appreciate his compassion and kindness as well as his wisdom and the benefits of the treatments he prescribes.
